CPF (BRAZILIAN TAXPAYER REGISTRY FOR INDIVIDUALS)
GUIDELINES FOR BRAZILIAN CITIZENS UNDER 18:
1) Access the IRS website, choose the country of residence, mark the "registration" field and fill in the electronic form. (Your browser's "pop-up" blocker must be disabled, otherwise you will not be able to send the request.)
2) Click submit. The form will open in a popup. Print the form and send it to consular.ancara@itamaraty.gov.br, together with a copy of the following documents:
A. Valid official identification document with the applicant's parentage, photo and place and date of birth;
B. In the case of a minor: copy of the valid identity document and photo of the parent who signs the form.
GUIDELINES FOR BRAZILIAN CITIZENS OVER 18: To apply for registration, regularization or alteration of the CPF, the interested party must fill out the online form on the Brazilian IRS website, available at the following link: https://servicos.receita.fazenda.gov.br/Servicos/CPF/cpfEstrangeiro/Fcpf.asp
The browser's "pop-up" blocker must be disabled, otherwise it will not be possible to send the request.
After clicking on "send", a registration form (FCPF) will be generated containing a service code. Send the request to the e-mail address cpf.residente.exterior@rfb.gov.br, attaching the documents listed below, in PDF or JPEG format (other formats or links to storage clouds are not accepted):
- Individual registration form (FCPF), duly filled in and signed;
- Identification document of the interested party (passport, identity card, driver's or work card, foreign residence document issued by the country in which the person resides, etc.);
- Brazilian birth or marriage certificate;
- Voter registration card or consultation on the TSE website with the title number, for citizens over 18 years of age;
- If the request is made by the applicant themselves, a "selfie" in which they appear holding their own identification document open, close to their face, for the purpose of confirming their identity;

- For children under 16 years old: send identification document and parent's "selfie", holding their own identification document (not the minor's).
Applicants over 18 must request the CPF by themselves.

As informed by the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service, the average period for completing the analysis is 5 (five) business days. Receita Federal will use the e-mail informed in the FCPF to communicate directly with the applicants about the progress of the requests.
GUIDELINES FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS
To apply for registration, regularization or alteration of the CPF, the foreigner must fill out the online form on the Brazilian IRS website, available at the following links:

The "Electoral Card" field of the form must be left blank.

- Identification document proving name, date of birth and nationality (for example: passport, national identification document, RNE/CRNM);
- "Selfie" holding open identification document, close to face, for identity proof purposes;
- For children under 16, send a document that proves parentage (for example, the minor's foreign birth certificate) and father's or mother's "selfie", holding their own identification document (not the minor's).

CHANGE OF REGISTRATION DATA
PLEASE NOTE: Only CPF records generated through the Consular System can be altered by the Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil in Ankara.
1. Access the Receita Federal http://www.receita.fazenda.gov.br/Aplicacoes/ATCTA/CpfEstrangeiro/fcpfIng.asp and complete the "Change" form.
2. Print the form with the automatically created protocol number.
3. Send to consular section: consular.ancara@itamaraty.gov.br:
• Copy of the form or protocol number;
• Valid official identification document with the applicant's affiliation, photo and place and date of birth;
• Document that proves alteration of the applicant's registration data.

Your change request will be sent by the Embassy to the Federal Revenue Service and you will be able to track your order using your 9-digit “service code” by clicking here.
Cancellation of CPF
The CPF registration can be cancelled when the person that is registered to is deceased.
