Temporary work visa (VITEM V) - transfer of technology or technical assistance

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Foreigners who come to Brazil to provide transfer of technology or technical assistance, when authorized by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
- a visa application form (one per applicant) must be filled in at https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br. Fill in the form. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt. Print the receipt. Attach one passport-size photograph (please do not staple the photo; glue it, if possible). Sign the receipt. For the photograph it is required front view and white background, professionally printed;
- the applicant's passport, valid for no less than 6 months, with at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. Soiled, damaged or defaced passports will not be accepted;
- a police clearance duly legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. After the Emirati legalization, the document must also be legalized by the Embassy of Brazil (fee: AED 80,00);
- a copy of the applicant's round-trip booked itinerary (reservation, no need to buy the ticket) showing travel to and from Brazil (informing passenger’s name, itinerary, flight number and arrival/departure dates);
CONSULAR FEES
- AED 400 for the visa, except for:
- USA citizens: AED 1160.
- UAE citizens: AED 620.
FOR DEPENDENTS
Documentation requirements to retrieve the visa for the spouse and minor children (STAYS MUST BE LONGER THAN 6 MONTHS):
Besides the documents listed above, except the police clearance when minor, one must present Original Marriage or Birth certificates, which will be legalized by this Embassy. Please note that certificates issued in other countries than UAE must be legalized by the Brazilian Diplomatic Representation in the country where they were issued. This Embassy can only legalize documents issued in other countries if they are priorly legalized by the diplomatic representation in UAE (fee: AED 80,00 per document).
IMPORTANT
Your visa should be registered at the Brazilian Federal Police within 90 days of your arrival in Brazil. Please note that in order to register your visa the Brazilian Federal Police will ask you to present your original birth certificate apostilled or legalized by the Embassy of Brazil with jurisdiction over your place of birth, and translated by a public sworn translator, in Brazil.
SOME PASSPORT HOLDERS NEED TO APPLY IN PERSON
Applicants holding Afghan, Egyptian, Eritrean, Ethiopian, Iranian, Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Libyan, Nepalese, Nigerian, North Korean, Pakistani, Palestinian, Senegalese, Sudanese or Syrian passports are required to apply in person.
