The Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Abu Dhabi can legalize the signatures of Brazilians citizens; the Embassy can also legalize the signatures of non-Brazilian citizens, provided that they hold a valid Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros’ card (RNE – foreigners ID card). To request this service:
-
prepare the document where your signature must be legalized. Do not sign the document yet, for it must be signed, on the day of your appointment, at the Embassy.
-
pay the required consular fees (click here for more information).
-
book an appointment (click here for more information).
-
bring to the Embassy, on the scheduled day and time, the documents to be signed, the proof of the payment of the consular fees, a copy of the appointment confirmation email and the original and a copy of your Brazilian ID card or RNE.
You must bring all the documents required, otherwise your request may be denied and you will have to book a new appointment. If there are no problems with the documentation, the legalization will be issued on the same day of the appointment, between 12:30 and 13:30 (on Fridays, between 11:00 and 12:00).
CONSULAR FEES
Legalizations of signature cost AED 80.00 per signature. However, the service is free in case of documents to be used to claim or secure government pensions, public service salary, military pensions or retirement pensions.
