VITEM XII - Artistic and sports activities
General information
The VITEM XII may be issued to the immigrant coming to Brazil to participate in expositions, spectacles, artistic presentations, sports competitions and related activities, with intent to stay in Brazil for longer than 90 days, with a fixed-term contract, with no employment relationship in Brazil;
The VITEM XII may also be issued to technicians in spectacles and other such professionals who, in an auxiliary capacity, participate in the activity of the artist or athlete;
Please notice that all VITEM XII applications must be initially put through the Brazilian Ministry of Labor by the sponsoring institution. Only after an authorization is issued and the Consulate is notified by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs should the application be submitted at the Consulate.

How to apply
Once we receive notification of the authorization of the Visa, the applicant may come to the Consulate in person, or send the documentation listed below by mail, together with proof of payment of the Consular Fee and an envelope with your own address and CHF 6,30 in stamps.
The applicant must come personally to pick up the Visa.
We require at least five work days to process the Visa.

Online form, filled and printed out and signed. The picture and signature must be scanned and added onto the online form. Attention: the website of the online form is SAFE! Attention: the name of the parents of the applicant must be written in full and with all names (given, middle and surnames). |

Passport picture (ICAO standard picture – in color, white background, face must be neutral). |

Auszug aus dem Zentralstrafregister (no legalization needed, valid for 90 days). |

Passport valid for at least another six months at the date of entry in Brazil, and with two free pages. |

Original of the birth certificate or another document containing the names of both parents. |

The Visa Fee will not be reimbursed in case of:
(i) the Visa is denegated;
(ii) the Visa is not issued;
(iii) the applicants give up the trip.
