Proof of financial means for the trip, either of the applicant himself or his or her parents/legal guardians, or proof of a scholarship.

Notice: declarations issued by Brazilian public universities or Federal Institutions need no legalization of signature. Otherwise the declaration must be presented in the original, with the signature legalized by a Brazilian Notary.

Original of the birth certificate or another document containing the names of both parents.

Brazilian "Ensino básico, fundamental e médio" (similar to Elementary, Middle and High School)

Proof of registration or acceptance at a Brazilian Institution.

a) High School conclusion certificate or its equivalent, apostilled;

b) Proof of approval at a public exam (vestibular) for a graduation course at a Higher Education Institution registered with the Ministry of Education (MEC).

c) copy of the public notice of the public exam (edital do processo seletivo);

d) Proof of registration at the course.

Post-graduation

a) Graduation conclusion certificate or equivalent, apostilled;

b) Proof of registration at a Post-Grad course.

Student exchange

a) Proof of registration at a graduation/post-graduation course, apostilled;

b) Proof of registration at a Brazilian Institution.

Research exchange

a) Proof of registration at a graduation/post-grad course, apostilled;

b) Proof of participation in a project of research with a  Brazilian Higher Education Institution or another institution.

7f

Specialization or post-graduation in medical areas

a) Proof of conclusion of a course in Medicine, Nursing, Odontology or related areas, apostilled;

b) Proof of registration or invitation letter from the intended course in Brazil. No legalization of signature needed if it is issued by a public institution;

c) Signed declaration from the one responsible for the course;

This type of Visa does not allow medical residency.

7g

Internship

a) Proof of attendance of a graduation or post-graduation course;

b) Term of Responsibility between the student, the place of internship and the Institution of study.

Religious Student

Proof of registration at an institute in Brazil.

Other courses (Language courses, etc.)

Proof of registration at the intended course.

Minimum 15 hour-course load per week.
