Visitor Visas (VIVIS) are for those travelling to Brazil for maximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention to establish residence, for the purpose of tourism or business.
Australian, Canadian and USA passport holders will only require an entry visa on and after the 10th of April 2025. Until then visa waiver programwill remain in place.
Passengers planning to arrive in Brazil prior to April 10, 2025, are exempt from the requirement, however, if you leave Brazil and intend on coming back after the said date you will need a visa.
Please note that the Brazilian government reserves the right to postpone the introduction of the visa condition at any point and is not responsible for the traveller’s decision to apply for a visa while the exemption is still in place.
Those who apply for a visa now are advised that by doing so they accept the risks of a postponement.
There will be no refund for those who decided to apply, as the fee charged is a processing fee.
