Travel to Brazil starting April 10, 2025

With the reinstatement of the visitor visa requirement for Australian citizens from April 10, 2025, Brazilian citizens with dual citizenship will no longer be able to travel to Brazil using an Australian passport.

The Brazilian government does not issue visas to Brazilian citizens. Therefore, the only way to board a flight to Brazil will be with a valid Brazilian passport. Failure to provide the necessary documentation at boarding may result in fines for 'no show' and charges for ticket rescheduling, in addition to the inconvenience caused by missing the flight.

Do not wait until the last minute.
