The visa waiver program has been extended. Australian, Canadian and USA passport holders will only require an entry visa on and after the 10th of April 2025.
Passengers planning to arrive in Brazil prior to April 10, 2025, are exempt from the requirement.
Travellers who have requested an E-Visa or paper-based visa cannot be refunded as the visa has been requested and is in progress or has been issued.Please note that this is a multiple entry visa valid for 5 years.
Applying for a visa in person
- Make sure you have the correct type of visa based on the purpose of your trip.
- Read all the information carefully and collect all necessary documentation.
- Fill out the online visa application form completely, and print and sign the Visa Request Form Receipt – RER.
- Check the visa fee.
- Upload the required documents to the E-Consular platform, clearly informing the purpose of your trip to Brazil.
- Once the documents are approved on the E-Consular platform, the original documentation can be sent by mail. All applications must include a pre-paid return envelope exclusively from the Australia Post.

Visitor Visas (VIVIS)
Visitor Visas (VIVIS) are for those travelling to Brazil for maximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention to establish residence, for the purpose of tourism or business.
There are two options available: the eVisa (for Australian, Canadian and US citizens only) and the Visa Label.
