MAKE AN APPOINTMENT at the Consulate of Brazil in New York

ATTENTION: Please do not visit the Consulate without an appointment. To request a visa appointment, please follow the instructions below.

1. Log in

Visit the E-CONSULAR Platform: <https://ec-novayork.itamaraty.gov.br/login>.

Create an account ("cadastre-se") and login.

2. Choose your service

You will be automatically directed to the tab “My Services”, where it will be possible to choose the desired service by clicking on “New Service”.

Later, you can follow the status of your request on this page.

3. Complete the application

Read the instructions carefully and fill in all the fields with the requested information. Upload the images of the required documentation in each field of the electronic form. When using your smartphone you will be able to take photos of documents. Please note that you will need to bring on your appointment all original documents requested to be uploaded on this plataform.

4. Submit the request

After filling in all the information, make sure to submit the request.

5. Wait for the answer

The consular office will approve your request or ask for additional documents. The approval might take up to 2 business days.

You will receive an email with one of the following information:

Authorization for the applicant to schedule an appointment at the Consulate; or
A request to correct or complete information that has been submitted.

If you receive a message requesting to correct or complete information, make the changes/additions and resubmit the validation request.

6. Validation

If your documentation is complete, the Consulate will send an e-mail with a link to access the page and book your appointment. You will also be able to access the link on your account at the e-consular plataform.

Please note, you can always check the status of your application, by logging in your account at the e-consular.
