Information in English
In order to ensure that everyone travels on their scheduled dates and to avoid any inconvenience to American passport holders, the Brazilian government has decided to extend the tourist visa waiver until April 10, 2024. After this date, all U.S. passport holders will be required to obtain a visa to travel to Brazil. Travelers entering the country before April 10, 2024, may stay for the entire duration of their visit without a visa, regardless of their departure date.
We strongly recommend that all travelers with scheduled trips apply for a visa with a minimum of 90 days' advance notice to avoid unnecessary disruptions. The virtual platform for requesting and issuing electronic visas (e-Visas) for citizens of Australia, Canada, and the United States is available to users at the electronic address https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/.
