VIVIS may be granted to visitors going to Brazil for stays of less than 90 days, for any of the following purposes:

Tourism;

Activities of informative, cultural or recreational nature;

Family visits;
-
Participation in meetings, fairs and business events, prospecting for business opportunities, and signing contracts;

Auditing or consulting;
-
Transit;
-
Performance of artistic or sports activities (also for technicians in entertainment shows and other professionals who auxiliarily participate in the activity);

Health treatment (with a medical indication or medical report for the treatment);

Study, scientific research, academic extension, teaching and supervised academic internships.
Engaging in paid activities in Brazil is forbidden, except for payment of a travel allowance, fee or other travel expenses, or in case of competing for prizes in sports competitions, artistic or cultural contests.
VIVIS granted for tourism purposes will be valid for 90 days, counting from the date of visa printing. Therefore, we advise you to submit your application within 1 month prior to the intended trip.
VIVIS for transit purposes will not be necessary to a foreigner on a continuous trip, having a stopover or connection in Brazil, as long as s/he remains in the international transit area of the Brazilian airport, not going through Brazilian immigration control, and holding a single airline ticket, even if issued by two or more airlines that have a cooperation agreement with each other.
