VITEM IV may be granted to applicants going to Brazil for a stay of more than 90 days, to undertake any of the following activities:

Formal learning (primary, high-school or superior);

Study or research exchange;

Language course (weekly workload of at least 15 hours);
-
Internship.
Besides the documents mentioned in the visa application requirements section, the following ones must be presented:

For adults: police clearance certificate;

For minors: visa authorization form, signed by both parents and notarized, as well as a statement from the guardian in Brazil;

Documentation proving enrollment or acceptance in the desired course, stating the name of the course, its duration, period and weekly workload;

For exchange students: proof of ties to the institution in the country of origin, dully apostilled;

For interns: Term of Commitment between the intern, the party granting the internship and the higher education institution where the applicant is enrolled, attesting the compatibility between the area of knowledge and the activities developed during the internship;

Proof of own financial capability or of those responsible for the maintenance in Brazil, during the intended period to remain in the country, or statement issued by the institution responsible for financing the scholarship, followed by a signed Term of Commitment.
VIVIS may be granted for stays of less than 90 days.
