VITEM XI may be granted to applicants going to Brazil, relatives of a Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of a resident permit, under the following conditions:

Spouse or partner, regardless of gender, under the terms of Brazilian law;

Child or stepchild;
-
Parent;
-
Grandparent;
-
Grandchild.
It cannot be granted when the calling party is:

Beneficiary of a family reunion visa or residence permit himself;

Beneficiary of a provisional residence permit;
-
Applicant for asylum;
-
A spouse whose marriage was performed by power of attorney.
Besides the documents mentioned in the visa application requirements section, the following ones must be presented:

For adults: police clearance certificate issued less than 90 days ago;

For minors: visa authorization form, signed by both parents and notarized;

Caller’s ID;
-
Proof of kinship between the applicant and the calling party, such as birth or marriage certificates;

Declaration, under penalty of law, that the caller resides or will reside in Brazil;
-
Joint declaration by both spouses or partners, under penalty of law, regarding the continuity of effective union and cohabitation.
The request for a family reunion visa may be made simultaneously with the request for a visa of the calling family member.
