Study in Brazil
The Exchange Programme for Undergraduate Students (PEC-G) was created in 1965. It is coordinated by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, in partnership with public and private universities, and selects foreigners to attend undergraduation in Brazil. The selection of the candidates is carried out through the offer of free places in more than one hundred Brazilian universities, public and private. There is no payment of scholarships by the Brazilian government, the candidate must have the financial means to support himself during his entire stay in Brazil.
Application for the PEC-G is annual and normally takes place between the months of May and July. Candidates must submit the documentation required in a notice to the Brazilian diplomatic mission in their countries. There are no limits or reservations of places per country.
Application
Candidates must present their application to the Consulate. It should enclose all the documents listed in the opening call, which will be made available in Portuguese here. If the applicant does not reside in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka or Goa, the application must be submitted to the Brazilian Embassy in New Delhi.
It is important that candidates inform themselves about the participating universities in Brazil and the courses offered, all of which is provided by the opening call. At the time of registration, candidates may list two course options and two cities where they would like to reside.
For the year 2023 applications are open until the 18th August.
