CITIZENS OF CANADA, AUSTRALIA AND THE UNITED STATES
END OF TOURIST VISA EXEMPTION FOR CANADIAN CITIZENS – INFORMATION UPDATED ON 10 APRIL 2024
Citizens of Canada, Australia and the United States planning to travel to Brazil for tourism (stays up to 90 days) from 10 april 2025 will be required an electronic entry visa (e-visa).
You can apply for the e-visa only through the electronic site https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/.
The total cost of the e-visa is US$ 80.90 (US dollars), payable only on the electronic site https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/.

OTHER NATIONALITIES
Depending on your nationality, you will need a visitor visa to enter Brazil. Click here to see if you need a visa.
If you intend to stay more than 90 days in Brazil, you need a Temporary Visa, regardless of your citizenship. Click here for more information.
If you travel to Brazil not with a passport, but with a Travel Document (Titre de Voyage), you will necessarily need a visa, regardless of your nationality.

If you need a visa, please note that all the documentation must be previously uploaded to the e-consular platform https://ec-montreal.itamaraty.gov.br/ in order to be validated.
DO NOT MAIL OR DELIVER ANY DOCUMENT TO THE CONSULATE BEFORE YOUR APPLICATION IS VALIDATED IN E-CONSULAR.
Once your documentation is validated, you will receive a confirmation email.
DOCUMENTS SENT OR DELIVERED TO THE CONSULATE WITHOUT PRIOR VALIDATION IN E-CONSULAR PLATFORM WILL BE RETURNED, WHICH WILL DELAY THE VISA PROCESSING.
