ALL CONSULAR SERVICES MUST BE REQUESTED THROUGH THE E-CONSULAR PLATFORM.
DO NOT MAIL ANY DOCUMENT TO THE CONSULATE BEFORE YOUR APPLICATION IS VALIDATED IN E-CONSULAR.

For all services:
You must provide a prepaid pre-addressed return envelope purchased from Canada Post (XpressPost or Priority envelopes only). A "return envelope" is a pre-addressed, smaller envelope included as the contents of a larger envelope. Services by other companies (Purolator, FEDEX, DHL, etc.) will not be accepted.
Make sure you have both tracking numbers for your own control.
Due to the high volume of correspondence that we receive daily, we are unable to confirm or acknowledge receipt of documents. We cannot confirm dispatch of envelopes either. Please track your envelopes directly through the website of Canada Post.
For visa applicants only:
One prepaid and pre-addressed return envelope is enough per family or small group (less than 10 applicants).
If you choose to drop off your visa application in person, you can still provide us with a prepaid and pre-addressed return envelope to receive your passport by mail.
We do not return passports/visas to addresses outside of Canada. If you live in the United States (near the border, for instance), we only accept applications dropped off in person. The applicant whose permanent residence is not within our jurisdiction is also expected to pick up his/her passport when the processing is finalized.
For certificates:
You must provide a valid email address, to where a draft of the certificate will be sent along with instructions on how to proceed with your application.
