Temporary Visa (VITEM) I – Research, Teaching or Academic Extension

Mandatory Requirements:

• Visa Request form, signed and with recent and good quality passport size picture, with White background, attached
• Valid passport
• Birth Certificate + Apostille (or Legalization)
• Recent FBI Background Check covering the last 12 months of residence
• Proof of Residence (Driver License, Utility Bill)
• Notarized (authenticated) letter from the research/teaching/academic institution in Brazil
• Proof of income (last 3 bank statements or last 6 pay stubs)

Visa processing fees:

United States: $250.00 

United Kingdom, UK  (Superior to 180 days): $215.00

-          All others: $100.00

-          Payment: USPS Money Order or Debit Card

PLEASE NOTE THAT, ALL THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS, RECENT PASSPORT SIZE PICTURE AND USPS MONEY ORDER, IF THIS WAS YOUR PAYMENT OPTION, MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE CONSULATE ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.
