Signature authentication by similarity
This service is available only for those who have previously registered their signature at the Consulate.
Having requested other consular services does not mean one's signature has been registered. If you are unsure, please email notarial.cglondres@itamaraty.gov.br to check if your signature has already been registered.
In some cases, the signature has to be certified by authenticity, which can only be carried out in person (e.g. passport request form of the Federal Police, registry form of the Social Security Service Institute – INSS – and other public institutions). Travel authorisation for minor child, on its turn, can be authenticated by both authenticity and similarity.
Therefore, checking with the document recipient what kind of signature authentication is required is advisable.
