Original and photocopy (real size of the document) of the official Brazilian document |
Laminated documents shall not be accepted. Please note: a) Each page to be certified must contain the photocopy of one single document. Do not combine, for example, an identity card and a CPF on the same page. b) The back page of the photocopy must be left black to allow the consular seal and stamp to be affixed. c) For passports or documents with multiple pages, the copies may be grouped and certified as one individual document. In that case, the back of the last page must be left blank to allow for the consular seal and stamp to be affixed. This will be charged as a single page certification. |

How to request
Certification of copies of original documents must be requested through the e-consular system. Click on the link on the side to find out how to apply. |
British documents
The original British documents and/or their respective photocopies, to be presented in Brazil, must get an apostille issued by the FCO - Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
After getting the apostille, the document no longer needs to be legalised by the Consulate.
Documents issued outside the United Kingdom
In case of documents issued in other countries (outside the UK), the party concerned must check with the Brazilian consular authority located in the respective country, with jurisdiction over the place where the document was issued.
