Please note that the Assistance Section does not answer questions regarding procedures and processing times of consular services provided by other departments of the Consulate General, which can be contacted directly by e-mail.
If you are a Brazilian national and find yourself in trouble or in an emergency situation in the United Kingdom, including helplessness, imprisonment, detention at immigration control, health issues, violence and maltreatment, amongst others, you can seek help from the Assistance Section at the Consulate General, and check what can be done in your case.

If you are not facing an emergency situation or are not in trouble, but require general information about travelling to the United Kingdom, please do not contact the Assistance Section.

- "Call 180" Service in the United Kingdom
- Call 180 International is completely free of charge, a service provided by the Federal Government through the Secretariat of Policies for Women - SPM (Secretaria de Políticas para as Mulheres), that offers information, orientation and assistance to Brazilian women who suffer domestic violence (physical or psychological) and sexual exploitation abroad.
- Call 180 is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the call can be done toll free from the United Kingdom.
- The Call 180 International call is connected directly to the SPM helpline in Brasilia and forwarded to the Brazilian Consular Network, to assistance services abroad or to the Federal Police, in accordance with the content of the request received.
- Consulates may get in touch with the victims to offer assistance or, if required, contact local authorities. The aim is to increase the support and assistance given to Brazilian victims of domestic violence, labour exploitation and human trafficking abroad.
