Investment Visa
Attention: To apply for an Investment Visa (VITEM IX), the applicant must obtain a residence authorization IN ADVANCE from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. For more information, visit: https://portaldeimigracao.mj.gov.br/pt/informacoes-gerais
If the application is approved, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security will forward the authorization to the Consulate.
Once your investment visa has been authorized and you have gathered all the necessary documents (see the list below), you must submit your application through the e-consular system: https://ec-istambul.itamaraty.gov.br/
You will be able to schedule your interview once your application has been validated at the e-consular.
WHO CAN APPLY
- Immigrants who are administrators, managers, directors or executives with management powers, to represent a civil or commercial company, economic group or conglomerate that makes a foreign investment in a company established in the country, with the potential to generate jobs or income;
- Immigrants, individuals, who intend to invest their own foreign resources in a legal entity in Brazil, in a project with the potential to generate jobs or income in the country, or entrepreneurs who intend to settle in Brazil with the purpose of investing in innovation, basic or applied research, of a scientific or technological nature;
- Immigrant individuals who intend to invest in real estate in Brazil with their own foreign funds, by purchasing one or more properties, built or under construction, with a total value equal to or greater than R$ 700,000.00 in the North and Northeast regions, or equal to or greater than R$ 1,000,000.00 in other regions of the country.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- Prior residence permit approved by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security in Brazil;
- Electronic visa application form, available here;
- Receipt of the Visa Application Form (RER), obtained at the end of the electronic visa application. The receipt must be printed, signed by the applicant and the photo attached in the appropriate box;
- Photo, sized 3x4 or 5x7cm. The photo must be frontal, on a clear background, in color;
- Valid passport with at least two blank pages;
- Valid Turkish identity document (kimlik);
- Round-trip ticket reservation;
- Hotel reservation or other accommodation;
- Bank statement for the last 3 months;
- Criminal records issued by the applicant's country of nationality and all countries where he/she has been resident in the last 12 months;
- Birth certificate. If the applicant is Turkish, they must present “Nüfus Kayıt Örneği”. In the absence of a birth certificate, the applicant may present another official document containing the full names of the parents;
- Receipt for payment of the visa fee. Visa fees may vary according to nationality;
- Additional documents may be required.
PAYMENT
The consular fee (visa fee) is non-refundable, even if the visa is not granted or is denied.
Cash and credit cards are not accepted at the Consulate.

HOW TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT
Gather the necessary documentation and request the service via the e-consular system: https://ec-istambul.itamaraty.gov.br
Once your request has been validated, you will be authorized to schedule your visit to the Consulate. The appointment must be made by the applicant. Keep track of updates via the e-mail address provided when you registered your application.
On the day of the appointment, don't forget to bring your original documents and proof of payment.
