Public power of attorney
GENERAL INFORMATION
A power of attorney is an act by which someone (the grantor) grants another person (the grantee) the power to perform acts or administer interests (powers) on their behalf.
Depending on the purpose, the power of attorney can be by public instrument or by private instrument, in the latter case the Consulate will only notarize the signature. If your request is for a power of attorney by private instrument, go back to the previous menu and choose the corresponding option.
The applicant is entirely responsible for drafting the content of the power of attorney. It is always advisable to consult lawyers, Brazilian notaries or the institution that will receive the power of attorney before requesting the service from the Consulate.
The Consulate offers the power of attorney service for Brazilians or foreigners with a residence document in Brazil (RNE/CRNM).
For other foreigners, the power of attorney can be obtained from a Turkish notary's office and then the apostille must be requested from the District Governorate (Kaymakamlık) and a sworn translation must be provided in Brazil. In the case of public powers of attorney, it is also necessary to have them notarized in Brazil.
It is recommended that you use a cell phone or computer with a scanner to fill in the following forms, as you will need to send images (or photos) of documents.
Photos or documents scanned by cell phone should be clear, only the document should appear, do not photograph other objects.
