Private power of attorney
GENERAL INFORMATION
This is a power of attorney whose text is drawn up by the interested party themselves and, in order to be effective with regard to third parties, their signature must be certified by authenticity or by likeness at the Consulate.
It is recommended that the interested party checks the possibility of using a private power of attorney or the requirement for a public power of attorney with the body/institution before which the power of attorney will be presented.
The applicant is entirely responsible for drafting the content of the power of attorney. It is always advisable to consult lawyers, Brazilian notaries or the institution that will receive the power of attorney before requesting the service from the Consulate.
The Consulate offers the power of attorney service to Brazilians or foreigners with a residence document in Brazil (RNE/CRNM).
It is recommended that you use a cell phone or computer with a scanner to fill in the following forms, as you will need to send images (or photos) of documents.
Photos or documents scanned by cell phone should be clear, only the document should appear, do not photograph other objects.
