Passport for those over 18
GENERAL INFORMATION
Passports are issued exclusively to Brazilian citizens.
Passports are the property of the Federal Government, and their holders are responsible for direct possession and regular use. Passports can be confiscated in cases of fraud or misuse.
It is advisable to keep a photocopy of your passport in case of loss, theft, etc.
When you receive your new passport, check that all the details are correct. Any errors for which the applicant is responsible will result in a new document being issued, the cost of which will be charged to the applicant.
To avoid mishaps, bear in mind that many countries require a passport to be valid for at least six months. Therefore, try to apply for a new passport in advance, preferably before the expiry date.
