INSTRUCTIONS

To be valid in Turkey, Brazilian documents, such as birth certificates, must be apostilled in Brazil. Visit our page to find out more about the apostille here.

Authenticating a copy does not replace the need for an apostille and does not guarantee the authenticity of the document before the Turkish authorities.

The certified copy service will be carried out upon presentation of the original document.

Documents from different holders cannot be copied on the same page for authentication.

The Consulate General ONLY authenticates copies of Brazilian documents. For copies to be authenticated, the original must be presented.

We recommend using a mobile phone or computer with a scanner to fill in the following forms, as you will need to send images (or photos) of documents.

Photos or documents scanned by mobile phone should be clear, only the document should appear, do not photograph other objects.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1 - Original document whose copy will be authenticated;

2 - Copies to be authenticated. Front and back must be on the same sheet.

3 - Identification document (e.g. ID card, passport, CNH, RNE, CRNM)

4 - Proof of payment of:

5 USD (five dollars) per page (if you provide a copy)
10 USD (ten dollars) per page (if the copy has to be made by the consulate)

HOW TO APPLY

Gather the necessary documentation and request the service via the e-consular system: https://ec-istambul.itamaraty.gov.br

Once the documentation has been checked, your visit to the Consulate will be authorised. Keep an eye on your e-mail address to follow up on updates, as the appointment will be made by the concerned person once they have received the e-mail.

On the day of the appointment, don't forget to bring your original documents and proof of payment.
