Authentication of Signature
INSTRUCTIONS
It is the Consulate General's responsibility to recognise the signatures of Brazilians and foreigners holding a valid CRNM or RNE card on documents such as power of attorney, declarations, contracts, terms of agreement, TO BE USED IN BRAZIL. Texts in a foreign language will not be accepted.
We recommend using a mobile phone or computer with a scanner to fill in the following forms, as you will need to send images (or photos) of documents.
Photos or documents scanned by mobile phone should be clear, only the document should appear, do not photograph other objects.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
To have your signature authenticated, you must make an appointment and go to the Consulate and sign, in the presence of a consular agent, the document on which you wish to have your signature recognised. To do so, they must present:
1 - Original and copy of a Brazilian identity document (passport, identity card, national driving licence or RNE/CRNM*).
2 - The original document on which the signature will be recognised.
3 - Proof of payment of USD 15.00 (fifteen dollars).

*Holders of an expired CRNM or RNE who have reached the age of 60 by the expiry date of the document do not need to replace it, in accordance with the terms of Decree-Law No. 2236 of 23 January 1985, as amended by Law No. 9505/97.
HOW TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT
Gather the necessary documentation and request the service via the e-consular system: https://ec-istambul.itamaraty.gov.br
Once the documentation has been checked, your visit to the Consulate will be authorised. Keep an eye on your e-mail address to follow up on updates, as the appointment will be made by the concerned person once the e-mail has been received.
On the day of the appointment, don't forget to bring your original documents and proof of payment.
