Residence Certificate
GENERAL INFORMATION
The purpose of the Residence Certificate is to prove the length of stay abroad. The Residence Certificate is normally used for presentation to the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal) by Brazilians who are returning to Brazil permanently. Brazilian nationals or foreigners with a valid RNE/CRNM can apply for a Residence Certificate.
We recommend using a mobile phone or computer with a scanner to fill in the following forms, as you will need to send images (or photos) of documents.
Photos or documents scanned by mobile phone should be clear, only the document should appear, do not photograph other objects.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
1 - Original and a copy of the identification pages of your passport or a document proving your identity (ID, driving licence, card issued by a Brazilian public body or, for foreigners, RNE/CRNM).
2 - Original and copy of at least one document proving your address and period of residence in Turkey:
- Turkish residence card ("kimlik");
- Letter from the company stating the total period of stay in the country, if you have come for work;
- Letter from the school stating the total period of stay in the country, if you have come to study;
- Property rental agreement;
- Telephone or electricity bills;
- Bank account statements;
- Credit card bills.
3 - Proof of payment of USD 15.00 (fifteen dollars).

HOW TO APPLY
Gather the necessary documentation and request the service via the e-consular system: https://ec-istambul.itamaraty.gov.br
Once the documentation has been checked, your visit to the Consulate will be authorised. Keep an eye on your e-mail address to follow up on updates, as the appointment will be made by the concerned person once they have received the e-mail.
On the day of the appointment, don't forget to bring your original documents and proof of payment.
