Science, Technology, and Innovation (ST&I) - SECTEC
The SECTEC Section at the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago is responsible for disseminating Brazilian scientific production and technological innovation in the Midwest of the United States, as well as promoting and supporting the internationalization of Brazilian companies (startups). SECTEC also takes care of relations with the Brazilian scientific community in the states under the Consulate jurisdiction and the identification of partnerships for Brazil's scientific and technological development.
Main goals:
- Promote Brazil in foreign ST&I ecosystems.
- Identify partnerships and sources of investments in ST&I in Brazil.
- Support the internationalization of Brazilian "startups."
- Mobilize the Brazilian scientific diaspora residing in the states of the Consulate jurisdiction.
- Stimulate collaboration between technology parks with Brazilian and foreign innovation environments.

The partnership between FAPESP and the Jô Clemente Institute (IJC) aims to encourage the creation of new research groups on Intellectual Disability and Expanded Neonatal Screening Diseases in the country by supporting outstanding young researchers. - SEVENTH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON IMMUNOBIOLOGICALS 2023
From May 2nd to 4th, the 7th International Symposium on Immunobiologicals will take place in Rio de Janeiro, with online transmission.
