Itinerant Consulates
To facilitate access to people outside the Illinois region, the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago periodically visits different locations in its jurisdiction. The visits, known as "Itinerant Consulates," are intended to provide Brazilian communities far from the Consulate's headquarters with most of the consular services offered in Chicago.
REQUEST OPTIONS
ALL services provided at the Itinerant Consulate must be requested initially by the e-Consular system. For clarification, the Consulate prepared a step-by-step guide to submit your request in our system (see below) and tutorials on appointment scheduling.
1. Log in to the e-Consular system. If you haven't had an account yet, you can create one using gov.br or your e-mail address;
2. On the e-Consular main page, choose "Novo Serviço" (New Service);
3. Select the desired service from the list;
Note: You must submit a different request for each service.
4. Follow the instructions to upload pictures of the documents and to fill up the requested data;
5. Submit the application for validation;
The Consulate will analyze the documentation submitted within five business days. The applicant will be notified through e-mail when the validation is completed.
BE CAREFUL when registering the personal e-mail as it is impossible to change it afterward.
6. After the validation of the request, the applicant must access the e-Consular and select the option "Consulado Itinerante" (Itinerant Consulate) as the service location;
7. Finally, the applicant can select a time slot for the service in the Itinerant Consulate. In case of multiple services, the applicant must choose one different time for each.
