In case of severe situations involving Brazilian citizens (death, accident, hospitalization, disappearance, arrest, inadmissibility, deportation) in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska or Wisconsin, call the consular office at the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago in the number +1 (312) 213-0293 or, if you are in Brazil, call the number +55 61 98260-0610.

⛔ These are NOT emergencies to be attended to by the consular service:

Expired passport;
Scheduled trip;
Urgent scheduling requests, including passport;
Requests or information about appointments;
Requests or information about consular services;
Missing passport or other documents;
Missing baggage;
Missed flight (flights must be booked directly with the airline);
Refusal or delay in granting a visa by USA authorities;
Brazilian visas.
