Persons applying for Study/Conference/Seminar, Work or Family Reunion visas in Guangzhou can submit their documents to VFS without appointment.
When scheduling appointments, please ensure you accurately input your application form number/protocol number (Format: XXXXXX-XXXXXX). Incorrect information may result in the visa center refusing your application, necessitating a new appointment.
The Visa Application Center will NOT reallocate to other applicants, under any circumstances, previously booked appointments that are not used for any reason (such as a “no show” or erroneous or incomplete documentation).
As a rule, applicants should submit their application in person. Applications can only be accepted from third parties under the conditions listed below:
- A family member can apply for other family members in case of tourism and family reunion visas, as long as proof of kinship is provided;
- Visa departments of companies authorized by the Consulate can submit applications on behalf of their employees.
- Travel Agencies authorized by the Consulate can apply on behalf of their clients.
VITEM applicants are requested to inform the Ofício MRE number (a document sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs authorizing applicants' visa; you can find the Ofício number on your MigranteWeb vitem process in Brazil) when submitting the applications in the Visa Application Center in Guangzhou.
For other specific visas, please consult with visa.cantao@itamaraty.gov.br
Note for Diplomatic, Official and Public Affairs passport holders
Official passports are not subject to the above restrictions. Official passport holders can e-mail the consulate for appointments and submission at agendamento.cantao@itamaraty.gov.br.
Applying through an agency
The following travel agencies/operators have been authorized to directly make appointments and deliver the cases to VFS, acting on behalf of applicants:
- Genuine Travel
- Guangdong (Foshan) CTS
- DIADEMA Travel (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.
- GZL International Travel Service Ltd.
- Guangzhou Dista International Travel Service Co.,Ltd.
Please notice:
- The consulate encourages all applicants to apply by themselves. Appointments slots are still being released on regular basis on VFS website. Registered agencies should be sought only when the applicant is not available to deliver documents in person or is purchasing a tour package from those companies.
- Those companies are not allowed to offer any type of express visa or booking appointments in exchange for fees, as according to Brazilian Law, there is no “VIP” or “express” visa. They’re solely allowed to charge for their travel consultancy services. All “fapiao” will be checked.
- The consulate finally reminds that this system is currently available only for the Consulate General of Brazil in Guangzhou. The agencies already registered are acting upon strict control and are subject to being suspended at any time for breaking any rules.
- The consulate strongly discourages applicants from seeking any agencies/operators and “huangniu” who offer “express appointment” or “express visa”, as such services do not exist and operators who sell them for profit have been negatively impacting our visa services.
Warnings and remarks:
- The Consulate does not accept passport retrieval requests once the application has been submitted. Please allow sufficient time to apply for your visa.
- The Consulate does not offer any “fast-track” system and does not charge any emergency fees. Be aware of illegitimate companies offerings to “expedite visas”;
- All forms whose responsibility is the applicant’s (i.e., where it is stated that the applicant has to provide his/her signature, such as on the application and consent forms), he/she has to sign it himself/herself. The Consulate runs checks for identity fraud on applications and, if evidence of fraud is found, the application might be reject.
The Consulate also warns the applicants that a zero tolerance policy against malicious behavior, such as overbooking of the appointment system and purchase of appointments has been in force. If any evidence of benefiting from such systems is found during the process, the applicant might have his/her application rejected.
