Visa fees
GENERAL INFORMATION
1) Visa fees must be paid with USPS money orders only. Please see a sample below:
2) The Consulate does not accept cash, checks, and money orders issued by banks or providers other than the US Postal Service (USPS).
3) Write down the name and address of the main applicant on the from field (right side) of the USPS money order. Write down "Consulate General of Brazil in Boston" on the pay to field (left side) of the USPS money order. Add your visa application 12-digit number on the memo field (left side).
4) If you are sending more than one application (e.g. members of a family), you may buy only one money order with the total amount of fees.
5) Applications submitted without the money order or with incorrect fees will not be accepted and will be returned to the applicant.
6) Fees are subject to change at any time.
7) Fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome (approval or denial) of the application.
8) There are no expedited fees.
ATTENTION: 1) Since 08/15/2023 the fee for the Digital Nomad Visa - VITEM XIV for US citizens has changed. The new visa fee for Digital Nomad Visa (VITEM XIV) is US$ 290.
2) The fee for the Study Visa - VITEM IV for US citizens has changed. The new visa fee for Study Visa (VITEM IV) is US$ 185.
