TOURIST AND BUSINESS VISAS FOR CITIZENS OF THE USA, CANADA, AND AUSTRALIA
IMPORTANT - Please read carefully the following information before applying for a visa
- Applications should be presented and visas will be issued electronically through the following website: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/
If you travel to Brazil before April 10th, 2025, YOU DO NOT NEED A VISA, even if you leave the country after this date.
US CITIZENS HOLDING BRAZILIAN CITIZENSHIP ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ANY BRAZILIAN VISA.
OTHER VISAS:
- Only residents in one of the states in the jurisdiction of the Consulate-General in Atlanta may apply for a visa here. Our jurisdiction includes the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
- Read the Entry Visas to Brazil (QGRV) - English Version to find out if you need a visa to travel to Brazil.
- Visas can only be requested by mail (USPS).
Please no walk-ins! Neither the receptionist nor other employee will answer questions about Visas in-person.
- The Consular Authority will determine the type of visa that applies to your case based on the information/documentation provided.
- PROCESSING TIME: The processing of visa applications can take up to several weeks.
Processing time may vary and will be determined by the Consular Authority.
For those reasons, it is highly recommended visas be requested in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: The Visa Sector DOES NOT answer inquiries about visa status. The applicant may check application status here or the tracking number of the envelopes sent. We kindly request applicants to not insist.
- VISAS FEES are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Please be very careful upon submitting your visa application. Incorrect, incomplete and withdrawn applications will be charged regardless of whether the visa is granted or not. - The Consulate does not offer "rush" or express services; no expediting fees are charged by this Consulate
