VISA AGENCIES
Important note about agencies: Travel and visa agencies are forbidden to offer expedited visa services and their processing times are longer than applications submitted by the applicant at the Consulate.
Agencies can only submit visa applications on Tuesdays, from 8am to 10am.

The Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta only receives documents from agencies and brokers that have completed our registration processe. Please see the rules below.
REGISTRATION PROCESS RULES
1) All registration requests must be initiated by email (visa.atlanta@itamaraty.gov.br).
2) All registration requests are reviewed by the consular authorities, and a final answer takes several days (at least 5 business days). The agencies are contacted by e-mail when this process is complete or when further information is necessary.
3) The agency may not submit applications before the registration is confirmed by e-mail.
4) Agencies are not allowed to submit registration paperwork and visa applications on the same day. Visa applications are only accepted after the agency receives the registration confirmation from the Consulate by e-mail.
5) In order to submit visa applications to the Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta, all agencies must formally agree with the Acknowledgement Term and fill in the registration form below.
6) The Acknowledgement Term must by signed by the owner/CEO of the company and the signature must be notarized.
7) Starting may 2020, all agencies must submit new application forms, in order to continue to work with this Consulate.
8) Only agencies that have completed the new registration process will be allowed to submit documents to this Consulate.
9) The agency must immediately update their contact information and list of authorized agents whenever there is any change with the information previously provided to this Consulate. This must be done by e-mailing an updated registration form to the visa department (visa.atlanta@itamaraty.gov.br).
10) Please be aware that if the agency fails to comply our rules, including the above mentioned, it will be subject to suspension or permanent cancellation of its permit to work with this Consulate.
COVER PAGE (mandatory document)
Effective October 3rd 2017, this is a mandatory document for all visa application batches submitted by agencies.
The Consulate will automatically refuse applications submitted without the cover page.
POWER OF ATTORNEY (mandatory document)
Effective October 3rd 2017, all visa applications submitted by agencies must be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" with a notarized signature of the client (the passport holder).
If the applicant is a minor, the Power of Attorney must be signed by one of the parents, specifying that the application is in name of the minor.
The power of attorney will certify that the client has authorized the agency to submit documents on his/her behalf.
Visa applications without the power of attorney will no longer be received (effective September 26th 2017).
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) REQUESTING PASSPORT PICK-UP BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DATE
Before submitting visa applications to the Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta, visa agency must verify the applicant's date of travel and take into consideration the Consulate's processing times for agencies.
If the interested party needs to travel before the scheduled pick-up date for the agency, the visa application should be submitted directly by the applicant, and not by the agency.
A request from an agency to withdraw a passport from the Consulate before the scheduled pick-up date is considered a violation of the rules governing the services rendered by the Consulate to agencies.
Effective November 1st, 2016, this sort of violation will subject the agency involved to the following penalties:
a) first violation: written warning;
b) second violation: two-week suspension;
c) third violation: revocation of the agency’s permit to submitt applications to the Consulate-General of Brazil in Atlanta.
2) SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS AND SIGNATURES
The agency is responsible for the accuracy of all documents submitted to the Consulate. Submission of counterfeit documents or signatures or documents containing fabricated information (e.g. also residential address) is a serious violation.
Please note that, according to the article 7 of the "Acknowledgment Term", signed by all agencies:
The Agency acknowledges and understands that falsifying an official document, or one’s signature, or one’s stamp is a crime punishable by Atlanta and Brazilian laws. The Consulate General reserves its right to report any such crime to the local police authorities and the Brazilian authorities, and to stop accepting visa/passport applications submitted by an Agency that engages in unlawful activities.
Effective from the date of signing of the Acknowledgment Term, the submission of counterfeit documents or sginatures or documents with false information subjects the agency involved to the following penalties:
a) first violation: two-week suspension;
b) second violation: revocation of the agency’s permit to submitt applications to the Consulate-General of Brazil in Atlanta
IMPORTANT: Depending on the seriousness of the violation, the Consulate may permanently cancel the agency's permit without imposing a prior temporary suspension.
