Diplomatic Visa and Official Visa
DIPLOMATIC VISA AND OFFICIAL VISA
Please have the following documents submitted to the Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta on behalf of each applicant:
General requirements:
1. Valid passaport (with at least TWO blank visa pages)
2. Printed confirmation page of online application
3. 1 (one) 2”x2” passport photo for each traveler
4. Printed itinerary
Diplomatic and official are issued free of charge.
In addition to the documents listed above, additional documents are requested based on the purpose of trip to Brazil.
- American government officials (DoS, FBI etc.).
1. A U.S. Department of State note verbale stating applicant’s full name, nationality, position, department/agency, and passport number, as well as the nature and duration of the mission, requesting that the visa in question be issued by the Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta;
2. The Consulate-General may request additional information or documentation, as deemed necessary.
- Officials of international organizations.
1. A note verbale from the organization stating applicant’s full name, nationality, position, organization/department, and passport/laissez-passer number, as well as the nature and duration of the mission;
2. The Consulate-General may request additional information or documentation, as deemed necessary.
- Government officials of third countries, if visa is required.

Note:
- Visit Visas (VIVIS) are also issued free of charge if you hold a valid Official or Diplomatic passport or a Laissez-Passer issued by an International Organization (e.g. UN).
