HOW TO REQUEST E-CONSULAR SERVICES
ATTENTION! The Consulate recalls that it is not necessary to hire third parties to request services through the e-consular system. Free access is everyone's right. The process is simple and fast. Do it yourself!
General information
a. The e-consular is the new system of request for services adopted by the Consulate General.
b. Before you start your online request, please check our website for the complete documentation required for each service. Document lists can be found in the links of each of the consular services provided in the menu on the left.
c. To schedule the service, depending on the service in question, it is necessary to send by the system all the documents required for each service (upload the images). After the evaluation and validation of the documents by the Consulate, you can schedule your service or check the instructions for sending by mail or collection / drop box.
d. For some services, you will be offered the possibility of sending the documentation by mail or collection/drop box system. Attention: even for services provided by mail or collection /Drop Box is necessary prior request via e-consular.
and. On the day of face-to-face service, it is mandatory to present the original of all documents.
f. After sending and properly validating by the Consulate, please print the simplified receipt and attach/send the sheet along with the other process documents.
g. In principle, requests for services that are not made by the e-consular system will not be processed.
How to use e-consular?
1. Log in
Enter the e-consular system (https://ec-atlanta.itamaraty.gov.br) and register.
Access can be done by computer, tablet or mobile phone.
-> If you have a Social Security number, click "Enter with GOV.BR".
-> Otherwise, select "click here to enter email and password".
2. Follow the instructions of the GOV.BR
You can enter your Social Security number and full name to create the profile on the GOV.BR.
Follow the steps of the system carefully.
You will receive an email with a code, which must be entered into the system for profiling.
* Check your spam box if you haven't received the system email with the access code. If you don't see the email in the spam box, we suggest registering with another email address.
3. Select the country where you want to request services
Once you have created your profile, you will be directed to the Brazilian Consular Service page, where you must choose the country where you are located.
Open the list and choose "United States of America".
Then go to the item "Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta" and click on "Request services at this consular office".
4. Choose the service
You will be automatically directed to the main system page, where you can choose the desired service by clicking on "new service".
Select the service and click "Start".
5. Fill in the information
Read the instructions carefully and fill in all fields with the requested information.
Upload the images of the required documentation in each field of the electronic form.
At the end, click "Next step."
6. Finalize the request
After filling in all the information, a page will be generated to conference the entered data.
Carefully read each item, correct the data if necessary and submit your request for validation by clicking the green button at the end of the page.
7. Request sent successfully
After sending, the system will show a message in green, such as the one in the image below.
8. Wait for the Consulate's response
Within 5 working days, the Consulate staff will send an e-mail authorizing the scheduling or sending of documentation by the correiro or drop box; or, alternatively, requesting complementation of the information.
9. Correction of the application
If you have received a message informing you about pending issues, make the necessary correction and resubmit the form for validation.
It is possible to check what is pending in the system itself (in the image, in orange).
10. Validation and scheduling
If your documentation is correct, the Consulate will send you an email with a link to access the service schedule.
Access the link and schedule the service on the desired date.
* Some services do not require scheduling and can be requested by mail or drop-off."
ATTENTION:
- For the services available by mail or collection /Drop Box, it is also mandatory to make the prior application in the e-consular.
- Please DO NOT send your documents without first receiving the confirmation email from the Consulate. This prevents your documentation from being incomplete and the Consulate having to return it without processing your request.
- Orders sent without validation from the Consulate will be immediately returned.
After sending and properly validating by the Consulate, please print the simplified Receipt and attach/send the sheet along with the other process documents.
