Visa - business trip (VIVIS)
a) General rules
A business visa serves a different purpose compared to a work visa. A business visa will be issued to someone who travels to Brazil to meet business partners, sign commercial contracts, prospect markets and like activities, which must not include:
- earning remuneration from a source in Brazil;
- sale or services to retail customers;
- labor to a Brazilian employer;
- on a reciprocity basis, US citizens who are aircraft crew members will be required a business visa even if holders of an international crew identity card.
BUSINESS VISA EXEMPTION
Foreign nationals from countries with which Brazil holds visa exemption agreements benefit from Business Visa (VIVIS) waiver. Click here to check whether you require a VIVIS or not.
b) Required documents
1 - Passports presented must be original, valid for at least 6 (six) months prior to expiration date. The passport must have at least 2 (two) blank visa pages.
2 - One recent 3,5 cm x 4,5 cm (pasfoto) photograph, front view, light background.
3 - One visa application form per person (click here to fill in the form). Please disregard the error message about the website’s security certificate. Click at “Continue to this website (not recommended)”.
Fill in the form.
. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt.
. Print the receipt.
. Attach your photograph
. Sign the receipt.
. Bring the duly completed and signed receipt, original documents and passport. The payment will be done during the process at the Consulate by “PIN”(debit card).
4 - Original letter (on letterhead paper) from the applicant's employer addressed to the Consulate General, written in Portuguese, Spanish, English or French, stating:
- the employee's name and title, time in current employment, nature of the activities to be undertaken an duration of stay in Brazil, the contacts to be maintained by the applicant as well as taking full responsibility for the applicant while in Brazil.
- the letter must contain the CNPJ number of the Brazilian Company.
- attached to the letter: a copy of registration of the Brazilian company at the Brazilian National Legal Persons Registry (CNPJ): http://www.receita.fazenda.gov.br/pessoajuridica/cnpj/cnpjreva/cnpjreva_solicitacao.asp
5 - Dutch Residence Permit.
6 - Round trip air ticket or e-ticket stating complete itinerary with passenger’s name.
Itinerary must be certified by airline or travel agent’s letterhead paper or by travel agency/airline stamp. Itinerary must also show dates and cities in Brazil of entry and departure.
7 - Proof of accommodation in Brazil.
8 - Proof of availability of sufficient funds for self-maintenance for the duration of stay in Brazil.
i.e. bank statements referring to the last 3 months, or latest payslips. The applicant should have approximately € 700.00 per month available to cover expenses.
- The Consulate might ask for further documents and explanations beyond the ones indicated on the website which are mandatory for visa concession.
YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CERTIFICATE
A valid international yellow fever vaccination certificate will be required on arrival, if a visitor has been to one of the countries listed below within three months prior to entering Brazil.
