Visiting the Itamaraty Palace
The civic-educational visits to the Itamaraty Palace take place from Tuesday to Sunday and are conducted exclusively by educators designated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
Regular visits occur in Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French or English, at previously scheduled times.
Previously confirmed visits may be canceled or subject to changes in the itinerary at any time, due to unforeseen circumstances, the MRE’s official agenda or security issues. We will try to notify these occurrences as soon as possible.
Scheduling and accreditation
Appointments are scheduled exclusively through the Bookings system, at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit. Each visitor must be registered individually.

At the time of accreditation, visitors aged 13 or over must present an official identification document with a photo.
Visits in other languages may only be carried out in previously scheduled small groups, conducted by the regular MRE’s educators, with the assistance of a translator provided and paid for by the interested group. Click here to schedule a visit in other languages with translation.
Group size
Regular groups may have up to 25 people, and 35 people in case of school groups. If your group has over 25 people, you must schedule separate visits, subject to schedule availability.
