On July 1st, 2020, the new phase of the agribusiness diplomacy completed 18 months. In January 2019, by creating the Department for Agribusiness Promotion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considerably raised the profile of its role in this sector, which is fundamental to the economies of Brazil and the world.
In additon to increasing the number and the scope of actions and initiatives, the Ministry has sought and seeks to further and better explore the synergies between two traditional fronts of its operations: trade policy and trade promotion.
Therefore, it has increasingly combined efforts to open markets with actions to promote exports.
