Republic of the Gambia
Diplomatic relations between Brazil and The Gambia were established in 1965, the year the African country gained its independence. The Brazilian Embassy in Dakar (Senegal) is cumulatively responsible for representing Brazil to the Gambian Government. The Gambian representation to the Brazilian Government is cumulative with the Embassy of that country in Washington (United States).
The Gambia is one of the beneficiary countries of a trilateral cooperation project in the area of school feeding, with the participation of Brazilian agencies and the World Food Programme’s Center of Excellence against Hunger, based in Brasília.
