Republic of Chad
Diplomatic relations between Brazil and Chad were established on October 8, 1996. Brazil has no resident representation in the capital of the country. The Brazilian Embassy in Yaounde (Cameroun) is responsible for overseeing, cumulatively, the relations with Chad.
Cooperation in agriculture is one of the central topics in bilateral relations. The country is one of the beneficiaries of Cotton-4 + Togo, a Brazilian technical cooperation project that aims to increase cotton production in Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Togo.

2016 – First Meeting of the Cotton-4 + Togo Project Management Committee, in Brasilia (April 25-29)
2012 – President Idriss Déby Itno visits Brazil, on the occasion of the Rio + 20 Conference (June)
2010 – The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Mahamat Maria, visits Brazil
2009 – Start of the Cotton-4 Project (since 2014, Cotton-4 + Togo)
