State of Palestine
Relations between Brazil and Palestine dates back to 1975, when the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), as a national liberation movement, was authorized to appoint a representative in Brasilia. In 1993, Brazil authorized the opening of a special Palestinian delegation in Brasilia, whose status was matched by that of an embassy in 1998. In 2004, the Representative Office of Brazil in Ramallah was opened.
In December 2010, Brazil recognized the State of Palestine on the borders prior to the 1967 Six-Day War. Furthermore, Brazil co-sponsored and campaigned in favor of Resolution 67/19, which elevated the status of Palestine to a non-observer state member of the United Nations in 2012. Brazil has positioned itself in favor of Palestine's entry into multilateral organizations and supported Palestine's entry into UNESCO in 2011.
Brazil and Palestine established, in 2008, a political consultations mechanism. Four meetings of the mechanism were held: in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2017.
The Brazilian government has traditional humanitarian cooperation established with Palestine. Since 2007, it has allocated more than $23 million to initiatives of this kind, through the donation of resources, medicines, food, among others, in particular to the Palestinian Authority, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and to the UN World Food Program (WFP). In June 2023, an additional donation of $100,000 to UNRWA was announced. In 2014, Brazil became a member of the UNRWA Advisory Commission (AdCom), the Agency's highest intergovernmental body. It is the only Latin American country in the organization.
Trade flow between Brazil and Palestine in 2022 totaled $30.4 million, with a Brazilian surplus of $29.8 million.
The number of Brazilians living in Palestine is estimated at around 4,000 Brazilians residing in Palestine, most of them have with dual nationality.
Brazil maintains its historic commitment to the two-State solution, with Palestine and Israel living side by side, in peace and security, within mutually agreed and internationally recognized borders.

2009 - Foreign Minister Celso Amorim visits Palestine . Brazil announces, on the occasion of the Sharm El-Sheikh Conference, a donation of $10 million for the reconstruction of Gaza. The President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, visits Brazil
2010 - Foreign Minister Celso Amorim visits Palestine. Fatah's International Relations Commissioner, Nabil Shaath, visits Brazil. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva visits Palestine. The Meeting of IBSA Ministers is held in Brasília, with the presence of the Foreign Minister of Palestine, Riad Malki. Brazil recognizes the State of Palestine. 2011 - President Mahmoud Abbas visits Brazil, on the occasion of the inauguration of President Dilma Rousseff. The MERCOSUR-Palestine Free Trade Agreement is signed in Montevideo. With the Brazilian support and co-sponsorship, the United Nations General Assembly approves Resolution 67/19, which elevates the status of Palestine in the United Nations to a non-member Observer State

Brazil joins the UNRWA Advisory Commission. Announcement of the donation of 6 thousand tons of rice to UNRWA on the occasion of the Gaza Reconstruction Conference, held in Cairo
