Diplomatic relations between Brazil and the Kyrgyz Republic were established in 1993 – Brazil was one of the first States to recognize the country's independence, in 1991. The Brazilian representation to the Kyrgyz government managed by the Brazilian Embassy in Nur-Sultan (former Astana), capital of Kazakhstan.
