Working visit of the minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland , Jacek Czaputowicz – February 4, 2020
The minister of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Araújo, will host the minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Jacek Czaputowicz, on February 4, for a political consultations meeting.
The two ministers will discuss themes on the international agenda and mechanisms to deepen bilateral relations, in particular in the areas of trade and investments, technological and academic cooperation, defense, freedom of religion, migration and political cooperation in international forums.
In 2020, Brazil and Poland celebrate 100 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Brazil is home to an expressive community of Polish descent of nearly 2 million Brazilian citizens.
Fifth-largest economy of the post-Brexit European Union, with a GDP of over $1 trillion in purchasing power parity, Poland offers a single opportunity for increasing the flow of trade and investments from both sides. In 2019, bilateral trade totaled $ 1.37 billion, with a Brazilian surplus of $ 218 million.
