Travel of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Dominican Republic – June 21-22, 2015
Minister Mauro Vieira takes part in the launching ceremony of commemorative postage stamp of the fiftieth anniversary of the University Cooperation between Brazil and the Dominican Republic, together with Dominican Foreign Minister André Navarro (center), and of the Director General of the Dominican Postal Institute, Modesto Guzmán.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mauro Vieira, will make an official visit to the Dominican Republic on June 21 and 22.
Minister Mauro Vieira will have a working meeting with the Foreign Minister, Andrés Navarro, during which they will address issues of the bilateral agenda such as trade and investment, flight connections and infrastructure; and issues of the regional agenda, such as the relationship between Mercosur and the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the prospects for the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), whose pro tempore presidency will be held by the Dominican Republic in 2016.
Minister Vieira and his Dominican counterpart will chair the opening session of the 2nd Meeting of the Working Group on Bilateral Technical Cooperation, and the launching ceremony for a new postage stamp commemorating fifty years of cooperation between the two countries’ universities.
