The Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States, José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, to visit Brazil – Brasilia, May 17, 2013
The Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States, José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, will visit Brazil on May 17. In Brasilia, he will be hosted by the Minister of External Relations, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota. It is the first visit of Secretary Meade to Brazil since he took office in December 2012.
Minister Patriota and Secretary Meade will examine the main topics on the bilateral and regional agenda, covering trade, investment, cooperation and development support. The Brazil-Mexico Agreement on Short-Term Tourist Visa Waiver for Regular Passports will resume on May 16, 2013.
Bilateral trade has tripled between 2003 and 2012, when it reached a record US$ 10.08 billion. Manufactured and semi-manufactured goods account for almost 96% of Brazilian exports to Mexico.
