Storms in the United States

The Brazilian government is monitoring, with concern, the recent storms that have struck the United States, resulting in severe human and material losses. In expressing solidarity with the families of the victims, the Brazilian government extends its condolences to the American people and government.

The Brazilian government reiterates that climate change intensifies extreme weather events and makes disasters like this increasingly frequent, which underscores the need for urgent and concerted action by the international community.

As of now, there have been no reports of Brazilians among the victims.
