State visit of President Dilma Rousseff to Mexico – Mexico City, May 26-27, 2015
President Dilma Rousseff will hold State will visit to Mexico on May 26-27, 2015. On the occasion, she will keep a working meeting with President Enrique Peña Nieto and will make announcements in the Mexican Congress and at the closure of the Brazil-Mexico Business Seminar, which will bring together entrepreneurs of both countries.
The two representatives will examine the bilateral agenda and preside the signing ceremony of agreements in areas such as investment facilitation, air services, environment, fisheries and aquaculture, tourism and tropical agriculture. President Dilma Rousseff and President Peña Nieto will also evaluate ways to increase and diversify the bilateral trade exchange.
Within the framework of the visit, a business mission will participate in sectorial meetings and discussions with homologous Mexican companies and institutions with a view to promoting bilateral trade and investment
Brazil and Mexico are the two largest Latin American economies. Bilateral trade amounted to US$ 9 billion in 2014, an increase of 94% compared to 2004. Brazil is the largest Latin American investor in Mexico and the second main destination of Mexican investments abroad. Almost all (97%) of the trade agenda corresponds to manufactured products with high added value for both countries.
