Situation in Myanmar

The Brazilian government is closely monitoring the developments following the declaration of a state of emergency in Myanmar. Brazil expects a rapid return to democratic normality in the country and the maintenance of the rule of law.

The embassy in Yangon informs that the small Brazilian community is well, safe and advises everyone to stay at home, avoid unnecessary trips and gatherings.
