PRESS RELEASE NO. 39
Agricultural market opening for Brazil in Mexico – joint MRE/MAPA press release
The Brazilian Government is pleased to announce that the Government of Mexico has authorized Brazil to export powdered and granulated eggs, intended for animal consumption, to that country.
In addition to reflecting the high level of international confidence in Brazil’s sanitary control system, this new market opening may also contribute to further growth in bilateral trade.
In 2024, Mexico imported over USD 2.9 billion in agricultural products from Brazil, with particular emphasis on animal protein, soybean complex products, forestry goods, and coffee.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has secured 10 new market openings in 2025, bringing the total to 310 new business opportunities since the start of 2023.
These outcomes are the result of coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
